Composite fracture
Sometimes replacement is the answer
Stage 1. Broken Composite

Patient presented with an old composite restoration closing the space between the lateral incisor and the canine. A demarcation line was also present between the restoration and the tooth, so a decision to replace the restoration entirely was taken.
Stage 2. Removal and measuring
After the old restoration was completely removed. BioClear matrix kit was chosen for the case, so the space was measured using the color-coded gauge and the yellow matrix was chosen.

Stage 3. Isolation and matricing

Rubber dam isolation was applied with an auxiliary anterior clamp on the lateral incisor. BioClear yellow matrix was placed and fixated using a little bit of gingival barrier.
Stage 4. Et voilĂ !
With the matrix in place, composite placement and layering was a treat. Restoration was thoroughly finished and polished & the patient was very ecstatic with the results.
