Let's fix this
Sometimes restorations need some adjustments
Stage 1. An Old Fractured Restoration

Patient presented with an old restoration that was fractured revealing the original diastema which caused discomfort for the patient.
Stage 2. Out with old
A decision was made to remove the old restoration all together to ensure proper shade matching & satisfactory esthetic result. Rubber dam was placed & composite buttons were placed. Beautifill II LS A2 from Shofu was chosen as the resin of choice.

Stage 3. In with the new

The composite was placed and shaped to mimic natural anatomy closing the space between both centrals and also between the lateral and the canine. Patient was extremely happy with the results.
Stage 4. A side note
One of the trickiest parts in the entire process was the lateral incisor where the lower canine occluded in the diastema space being closed and that what caused the original restoration to fracture. So, to accommodate for this, the lateral restoration was made concave on the palatal aspect allowing proper occlusion while maintaining a labial shell to preserve esthetics.
