Space Closure
Replacing an old restoration
Stage 1. An old restoration

Patient was presented with an old restoration that was fractured near the incisal edge.
Stage 2. Let's get it out of the way
The old restoration was removed all together. The remaining space was measured using Bioclear color-coded gauge to choose the proper matrix.

Stage 3. Isolation & Matricing

Rubber dam was placed with an auxiliary clamp on the lateral. The yellow Bioclear matrix was the correct and was fixed in place using a bit of gingival barrier (A neat trick). Resin composite was of course chosen as the restoration.
Stage 4. As if it wasn't there
After placement of the composite & some finishing & polishing. the restoration was good to go & the patient was ecstatic with the results.
